Not all days are good. Not all friends are good. Not all church going Christians are able to keep from gossiping. Gossip is a hobby that feeds ones idle ears and build up judgement. It lends harm to the subject of the gossip and it even destroys lives, especially when the gossip item is not true.
This is such a tiring item for me. First of all, my siblings and I did not grow up around gossip laden meal times. This act is alien to us. Talk is good when it lends to building up, mending or creativity, or healthy laughter. But gossip destroys and tears down.
I will share some very private accounts when Chris was gossiped about. He lost friends, his job and his trust of the most intimate Christian group he had fellowship with. So did I. Never again have we attempted to join any group for fear of this habit of people. My hard copy diaries are more complete than these short accounts. I really did not want to spend time talking about this low in our lives.
Who'd be satisfied?
