New Jersey to Double Tree...February 13, 2018

I beat my alarm phone...it’s Not jet lag. Im over it...wink wink...       We all needed to move early in lieu of  Bern’s request to Move early, she has a meeting. So up at 3, I beat everyone. So while brushing my teeth, tons of suggestions enter my head. Why not extend our stay in double tree. The action is already there and  even if I need to shed extra bucks...this experience cannot be bought or repeated in this way. This is something Topper will remember in his lifetime, perhaps more. I have faith in Him WHO supplies our needs and wants. God is nodding...go...Go!      TRAFFIC is universal! IT looks the same when its there. Now I Can boast about Jersey traffic. Yikes! Poor Kuya Bob Asis, our gracious family-host! Hence. The change of plans...       Finally we reach  Double Tree by Hilton. In the heart of Midtown Manhattan, this is where the delegates convene.         ...

Form Manila to Incheon to New York...

I kept my eyes closed during our road trip to NAIA. IT was 7 p.m. and I  feared being late for the check in time. So I prayed! And so the trip to the AirPort was good and we arrived at the time I did ask for. No traffic!       The journey throughout the AirPort was uneventful,no hassle. By  God’s grace, we did overprepare and expected hassles, but there was virtually none. And so I watched over Topper’s reactions throughout the Lines and cues, did a lot of homeschooling ON How to do AirPort procedures, and IT was great.            So the journey to Incheon was uneventful and smooth. Toppper experienced the huge  AirPort and the reputation of Incheon. He marveled at how clean the AirPort was. IT Really was. I felt really joyful over this simple experience because it give him a perspective of what ought to be and what ought not to be. Someday Topper will be travelling often on his ...

Feb. 10, 2018 Today is the DAY!

It has been a hectic day, in my mind.  The luggages are not closed yet but my checklists are complete. The OC in me is kicking in and I am not settled with not closing the bags. Chris has to weigh them again and again. Then Roni says the weighing scale is the most inaccurate method of weighing. Nice.            We are traveling without Chris, a lead guy. I have to do all that he has been doing  whenever we both would travel.  This gets my nerves all wracked up. I do not like forms and documents, papers to fill out etc. Thanks to UP, my trauma began when I was in college, enrolling in UP.  From then on...      What is the airport going to be like? Just the thought makes me disgusted.  Because of bad , bad practices of passengers, security has to be so tight. This is supposed to be good. But this often entails so much id work, paperwork  and it breaks my nerves to paranoia.  ...

2018 WINTER YOUTH ASSEMBLY ... with Topper as a Delegate! What a blessing!

Just one day before and we leave for  New York! The sunset is beautiful here in our cozy apartment. Chris is out to work with GCF, Top is upstairs resting and the sala is still a mess. Three large luggages and two carry ons scattered and waiting for closure.                 This all began with an invitation from Friendship Ambassadors representative to the Philippines, Ambassadress Louise Mabulo. A former homeschooler and a friend of Topper's, Louise invites Topper to fill out an application form which begins this journey's history...           It was quite a long application form, to be answered in short essays. I let Top do it...I tried to draft answers for him but...no...let him do it. I just edited and counted words.           Chris and I instructed Topper to answer as honestly as he could. Do not sugar coat anything just to make his application look ...
