I kept my eyes closed during our road trip to NAIA. IT was 7 p.m. and I feared being late for the check in time. So I prayed! And so the trip to the AirPort was good and we arrived at the time I did ask for. No traffic!
The journey throughout the AirPort was uneventful,no hassle. By God’s grace, we did overprepare and expected hassles, but there was virtually none. And so I watched over Topper’s reactions throughout the Lines and cues, did a lot of homeschooling ON How to do AirPort procedures, and IT was great.
So the journey to Incheon was uneventful and smooth. Toppper experienced the huge AirPort and the reputation of Incheon. He marveled at how clean the AirPort was. IT Really was. I felt really joyful over this simple experience because it give him a perspective of what ought to be and what ought not to be. Someday Topper will be travelling often on his own. I’m glad I was part of this airport experience of his.
The 14 hour flight to New York was also good. We sat at the back and right portion, this time with Top in the middle. He struggled at the beginning but eventually settled in. Although I encouraged him to walk around, he just endured the flight simply going back and forth to the lavatory. Well I visited the food gulley and asked for my coffee and some peanuts. Korean stewards and stewardesses are very friendly. This was Topper’s first journey out of country. Like Roni, our boys will be blessed with many wonderful adventures and all will enrich their walk with the Lord.
New York finally! This time Top experiences immigrations check. It was a good experience for him to see Mika sail through her line. Top and I were moved to another line that moved really slow. I asked the guard why and he said, the officers are searching for a person! And this experience is vital for Topper to see. So this is how people are caught in the airport! There were no cute doggies though.
Thanks to kuya Bob, he met us right after we exited. Unfortunately he had to wait more than an hour. Pasensya na kuya Bob!
